COLD-PRESSED

1. What is cold-pressed juice?

Cold-pressed juice refers to juice that uses a hydraulic press to extract juice from fruit and vegetables, as opposed to other methods such as centrifugal or single auger. As opposed to a normal “centrifugal” juicer which takes a whole fruit or vegetable and squeezes out the juice, a hydraulic press actually grinds the produce wholly into a fine pulp, after which it applies thousands of pounds of pressure to this pulp, extracting every ounce of juice that the fruit or vegetable can possibly yield. The results are nutritious, smooth-tasting juices. The gentle pressing action allows for little to no air to be introduced into the juice.

2. What is the difference between cold-pressed, homemade and packaged juices?

Existing packaged juices in the market contain preservatives, chemicals, growth hormones, stabilizers and are full of added sugar. While our juices are made of 100% raw fruits and vegetables, packaged juices in the market typically contain only 8-10% fruit or vegetables.

LAJUGOS juices are not pasteurized at high temperatures and contain no chemicals, preservatives, artificial colours or added sugar. In addition, household juicers or blenders involve a high-speed rotating blade or strainer, which create heat and cause oxidation, destroying vital nutrients in the juice.

As no heat or air is thrust through the juice during the cold-pressing process, it retains far more nutrition and living enzymes are kept intact. This allows you to absorb the maximum nutrients, vitamins and minerals possible from the raw produce.

1. How do you source and then clean the fruits and vegetables?

We believe in supporting our own economy to build a stronger community. That’s why we buy all of our ingredients, weather permitting, from local farmers in the country, except the ingredient is hardly be grown here such as apple. We only choose the freshest and best quality ingredients. We take care of the washing, peeling, chopping and shredding of the fruits and vegetables before the cold-press process begins. We ensure the produce never comes into contact with human hands as it turns from solid to liquid form.

2. Who prepares all these juices?

The founders personally produce the juices on a daily basis based on customers’ demand.

1. How many calories are in your juice?

Calories aren’t bad for you – they are just a measure of energy! Drinking the juice is for healthy body, not as weight reduction diet.

2. How should I store the juice?

It must be kept refrigerated when it is not being consumed. Store them in the coldest part of your refrigerator, between 0 and 4 degrees if possible. Just like milk. Kindly adjust your refrigerator temperature as per the weather as and when needed.

3. I find my juice as divided into the lower sediment part and the upper clear fluid juice?

We use a variety of ingredients in all our juices, some produce clear juice (such as apple and lemon) and some produce soluble fibre as a by-product, for example spinach and kale. Therefore sometimes the heavier sediments tend to settle at the bottom portion of the bottle (due to our earth gravity). There’s no need to worry, just shake and take.

4. The color of my juice looks different today. What is the reason?

As the ingredients are completely natural, the colours of raw fruit and vegetables vary with each changing season. For example, pomegranates are much lighter in the summer than in the winter months.

5. Will you be launching new flavors and products?

6. How should I consume these juices?

The juice can be consumed at any time of day although early in the morning or mid-afternoon is a great way to enjoy them.

7. How long will my juices last in the fridge?

It is recommended to consume your juices within 48 hours, for you to enjoy the freshness of the juices.

8. Can I use your juices for a “detox” or “cleanse”? 

We recommend our juices as part of balanced diet as opposed to a specific juicing cleanse. So although the juices are no different to any of the juice detox programs on offer we are hesitant in recommending a certain amount of juice per day. We believe in eating healthily but everyone’s health and fitness journey is a personal one.

Our bodies are busy detoxing all day every day, and so a balanced diet avoiding processed foods, caffeine, alcohol, white carbs but with plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit would be ideal. Our juices are convenient as a healthy snack alternative and to ensure you’re getting further nutrients and vitamins. Do make sure you drink plenty of water too.

1. Apart from online purchase with delivery, where else can we purchase LAJUGOS juices?

Our valued customers only can purchase the juices online at www.lajugos.com and can’t find it at any retail outlets.

1. Do you recycle?

We believe recycling is imperative to protecting the welfare of the environment. That’s why our juice bottles are made from glass. Please reuse your bottle for other purposes or dispose of them in your recycling.

2. Can I purchase a larger bottle size?

At the moment our juices are only available in 300ml bottles.

1. How do I pay for my juices when buying at your website?

Our online store allows customer to pay using one of the following payment options which is powered and secured by MOLPay payment gateway:

2. Do you accept credit / debit card?

Yes, we accept Visa and MasterCrad credit / debit card.

3. Who is MOLPay?
Lajugos.com uses MOLPay payment services to accept payments via credit / debit card and online banking from the following banks – Maybank2u, CIMB Clicks, RHB Now, Hong Leong Connect, Alliance Online and AmOnline. MOLPay is a local payment service provider regulated under Malaysia’s Financial Services Act (FSA) 2013.

4. What is FPX?
FPX (Financial Process Xchange) is a payment gateway provided by MyClear (Malaysian Electronic Clearing Corporation Sdn Bhd) that allows you to make real time online payment using your current or savings account. MyClear is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bank Negara Malaysia. It offers a full-suite of e-payment solutions catering to different financial needs and different sets of customers that include financial institutions, corporations, retailers and the general public. The participating banks in FPX are:

5. Why was my payment made is failed / declined?
Generally, there are several reasons for this:

  • Payment above the transaction limit
  • Transaction Authorisation Code (TAC) was entered wrongly
  • TAC expired
  • Insufficient funds
  • Respective bank’s internet banking service is not available

You should contact your bank to resolve the matter.

6. Do you offer cash on delivery?

No.

7. What is your refund policy?

Generally, all purchases are not refundable, unless order cancellation is accepted. Please refer to our cancellation policy at http://lajugos.com/cancellation-return/. In the unfortunate event that there is an issue with your order, please get in touch with us at sales@lajugos.com.

8. When do I need to make payment?

All payments need to be received in advance so we can process your order.

1. Do you offer loyalty point when I purchase the juice?

Yes, it is under B-Infinite card. When you make payments through our payment gateway provider MOLPay, you will get 1 B-Infinite point for every RM5 you spent at Lajugos.com.
